    Thanks, I will do that. Yes, I allow the cycle to finish on its own – I do normally use a very short cycle (40 mins) just to start things off drying, but I don’t think that should make a difference should it?

    So it does sound too hot? The last engineer pretty much accused me of “trying to pull a fast one” (his words!) and said that dryers always get that hot on all cycles, so I’ve been doubting myself.

    The first engineer did have a look inside but he was very quick to start emptying out fluff and didn’t do anything else after that. On the second visit the engineer didn’t even take the top off, he just ordered the parts he fitted at the third visit, but I don’t think he checked anything else. He said that the only possible problem could be with the parts he replaced.

    I’m dreading having to call them out again as the last guy wasn’t very nice and I know we will be charged for the call out if they don’t agree that there is something wrong. Do you think it’s worth arguing it, or should I just fork out for an independent engineer do you think?
