    Humm, Did the repair and now the water is heating when it definitely was not before.

    However the reset does not force out the water.

    Other pointers that there may be more wrong is the display “.0.” that is it has a dot preceding the zero.

    Also the LED display itself is dropping one of the segments – although this is intermittent.

    Some one else mentioned a darlington transistor – Could this be faulty?
    I’ve put the board back now but is this one of the potted components next to the relay?

    If the consensus is that the board is kaput any ideas where I might source a new board? seen somewhere else that the board is £97 – but I’d be reluctant to try this on a five year old dishwasher

    I think you are right – There’s a burn mark slap bang in the middle of the pcb. I’d post a picture of if I knew how.

    Yes unplug is definitely understood. I Still remember the belt I got from a valve radio almost 30 years ago. 🙄

    As for the rest – I’m game – so thanks for the quick reply and advice.

    Well – I’ve got me soldering iron handy.

    Any tips for getting at the board?
