    I will change the fan thermostat and check the plug first.

    The fan runs freely and quietly, just tested it by bypassing fan control thermostat.
    Can the fan control thermostat be failing ( it’s just an on/off thermal switch) ?
    Also if I wanted to replace both oven thermostats (erratic temperature control) can I do it without removing the gas hob?

    Sorry not sure what you mean by “cooling fan running odd for 2 thermostats to go”
    Do you mean the tangential fan at the back?

    Thank you Dave

    Just checked and on 80C setting it runs about 100C.
    Checked again at 180C and this time it held it correctly. Same at 230 setting
    It looks a bit erratic as it went 60 deg over previously
