    Re: Fan Issue

Well, have removed back bottom rear oven panel etc. Fan moved freely, both directions. Stat in place, tho black from time and didn’t appear to be loose or disconnected. So, think it working OK, as when bottom oven on, temp control light turns on and off when temp right, or drops etc. Element had dropped, I moved it off oven floor. When put oven back on, after these investigations, could see element glowing and heat being generated. The fan, alas, not turning, gave it some gentle nudges, but, nothing….

    Re: Fan Issue

OK. Couple of things. Fan moves freely with oven on and off, also just spotted, after shining torch in oven, that the element is touching the bottom of the oven. So though its glowing and would seem, apparently working, it is on the base of the oven. I am making the quantum leap here that this not as things should be?

    Re: Fan Issue

Many Thanks Dave. Wife was cooking (first mistake)and the stat in top oven was hanging down, like it had been dislodged, some smoke and sparks from stat area. So I turned oven off, pushed stat back into the holders. Everything working, top oven, grill, controls etc. In the bottom oven I can see the element glowing on, yet the fan not turning. Have checked the 2 things you mention..
