The defrost heater works correctly (hot to the touch)but demand is being sent to heater permenantly until unit is switched off and on again.I have bridged out thermal fuse “temporarily” evaporator completeley defrosts.

Freezer side is working fine you here defrost heater relay kick in and off when finished.Using mode on display it only shows one digit which is demand to fridge defrost.
I am currently using unit by turning it off and on 2-3 times a day,no thermal fuse or link fitted in fridge.
Does the unit look for some voltage/resistance from heater?.
