    LG offer a £145 fixed repair. I may do that.

    Thanks Dave – certain I have the connections right. Do you think it’s worth bothering with, or are we better with a new machine?

    Hi again – bit of a crazy outcome here. I fitted a replacement inlet valve unit, all went well. Started the machine up for a cycle and it started to fill through the main drawer – great. However it didn’t stop filling. Now the drum is literally half full with water and whenever the unit is plugged in the main inlet is running! I switched off at the mains and when I switch on it starts filling again.

    Ok great thanks for that. I get readings on the outer two, the red and blue ones, but the middle white one is 0. I guess this is the reason? I’ll see if I can get the part.

    Hi Dave, so maybe I’m going mad, but all three of the terminals show no continuity on my multimeter.

    Thanks will crack the multimeter out.

    Do these things commonly fail?
