ParticipantThanks for the continued advice Dave.
All back together now and working fine.
The machine may be almost 20 years old but very clean where it matters, that messy side tank aside and a quality item.
Can only guess that the pressure switch was jammed temporarily.rhino666
ParticipantHi Dave
That sounds exactly correct, violet being my colour blind version of blue:-)
A rather bizarre problem that hopefully for no particular reason may have been resolved.
I can only guess that there was a problem with the pressure sensor but the fact that both wires showed voltage is confusing.
Will try and put it back together tomorrow and fingers crossed the issue resolved for a while.Do you have any theory as to what caused this?
Thanks
Rob

ParticipantHi Dave
That’s a relief, re water softener as been sat on its head for several hours and none drained out.
Zanussi DA6141 purchased 26/10/2001 with a date stamp of 09/2001 found on plastic chassis.
Sorry, no PNC or equivalent found on machine or original instruction booklet, unless 152977 37/0 means anything?Cheers

ParticipantHi Dave
Thanks for the reply. Dishwasher is in bits on its side on the floor. Several wires on the timer connected to the blue(neutral?) but nothing to the pink and no pink wire on the timer. I followed the wiring from the inlet valve to a connector and found the pink. It goes to a vacuum/pressure switch?
Please see https://i.postimg.cc/4yvxv2Mq/IMG-0496.jpg
Switch has a pipe that joins a plastic tank, please see https://i.postimg.cc/d3c0ycWG/IMG-0495.jpg
As can be seen, there appears to be trapped dirty water which does not look right.
Just trying to get at that Switch to see how it works but struggling to work out how to get it off without breaking the rubber mount.
Update, switch out and appears to be a pressure switch that reverses contact from centre when blown into.
Now have water pumping whilst machine on side with pressure switch tube connected.
It would appear that the trapped water in my second picture may be the issue.
Any advice on this much appreciated.
