Picked up a new programmed board, as advised, and the dishwasher now works perfectly!
Thanks for the help everyone.

OK the bag the part came in has the number 4812 218 38347 on it.
Sounds like the wrong part to me – no wonder it doesn’t work!
Any recommendations as to where I can get one as the place I got it from is clearly a waste of time?

Well I eventually got the heater resistance checked and it came in at 27 ohms. So I thought I would go ahead and order a control board from here

Simple I thought! Wrong. The first one turned up with a broken program selection button and so too did the second one!! It didn’t even click like it should.
I have just received another one from the same place – I had to wait a while for it as they needed to get it from the manufacturer.
I have fitted it but am unable to select a program. The rinse cycle light is lit but when I press the program selection button it does not change program. If I press both the program selection button and start button together, after about 2 seconds the rinse program light flickers off and then back on solid. If I keep both buttons pressed down the start button light flashes constantly. This can be reset by holding the start button for 2 seconds.
Do I need to do something with this new board or should it just work?
Is this one also broken or perhaps the wrong model?
The serial number on it is 461972714212 which is the same as the original. The only number that is different is the WK number. The original is WK:0624 and the new one is WK:0709

The water is not heating at all. The engineer that came to look at it tested the resistance across the heater and this checked out fine. Sounds to me, from what you have said that it is likely to be the control board and not the NTC.
