Seem to be missing the point on this I think. Therer is no legal requirement to supply a guarantee. If you do, then you must uphold it.
Any product sold to a customer will be covered under the “Sales of Goods Act” and all this entail. The customer will have redress under this act to the retailer of the item for 6 years. Typically after 6 months the customer must prove that the part was faulty from the date the item was supplied. In thefirst 6 months it is the suppliers duty to prove that the component was free of defects, very difficult to prove.
