Well fitted a new fan and all is now fine, complicated little fan with a printed circuit inside so small wonder it played up,thank for the help here.

Oh – The fan runs when the compressor runs as well ( or it should )

Thanks for that reply,i dont think its the same as my fault as i can get the tempreture down by inducing some airflow and i think the freezer temp gauge is showing the truth.

What i am not sure of is if the fans not turning as its failed or because its not being signalled?.
During the winter the fan copes fine, its just when it has to work hard it stops, its not siezed at that time and i am not sure what type it is to check supplies – Hotpoint are about as much use as a chocolate fireguard and i wont be buying any more of their products due lack of support.

Guess i will just have to get one and see if it fixes it,very poor idea drawing the hot air over the motor rather than blowing cool air across the condenser.

Thanks for your help,i will post here when i have it changed.

    Hi
I thought i would have got some kind of interest even if its chuck it away.

The Condenser fan motor is a Plaset – Italy Model 13082, 1500 rpm, 0.042A.

I cant relate that to anything on the various sites, any one able to tell me what motor i need and where i can get one please?
