Thanks GB.
I think I’ll opt for a Siemens WXL147 @ £436 incl. delivery with the 5 year Parts & labour guarantee.
My wife fancies an IQ model with the 10 year guarantee – much dearer of course!
Do you have any thoughts on the IQ?
Cheers

Just back tracking on this forum in general.
OK. Kalamity’s was a naive question with regard to a washing M/C, but as a DIY’er I was once asked to replace the ‘brushes’ on a hoover vac. When I asked which brushes the answer was on both sides of that roller thing?

Hi All
New member & I’m still finding my way around.
Impessed with all your helpful advice & I particulaely like GoatBoy – no dis-resepect to others though.
I’m simply a DIY type fella & I have nursed my wife’s Hoover Logik & kept it going for 15 years. It lost the nylon /plastic guide on one side suspension about 5 years ago & has kept going without it but with occasional un-balanced load.
The un-balance load (usually) towels is now more frequent & I wondered what the cost of spares would be for a DIY job. Would it be wise to replace the full suspension on both sides. Would the best advice be to get a new machine – say Siemens?
Thanks
