Just confirming . Stopped all the leaks and the machine has not tripped the rcd since.
Thanks Dave . I always thought that the float was actually linked to the pump and sacked up any leaked water on start up ?
    excellent forum by the way!

Thanks dave. Tested that but it doesn’t read anything at all so I assume the heater is okay. But I found 2 water leaks so I’m sealing those and try again..It seems seals were not a big concern on smeg as they provided a catchment area and suction pump that it drains on start up. Could there be anything else I should be looking at?. Or where could I get a step by Step guiDe on this machines full cycle .ie drain, rinse cold, drain, tab release and so on .

my smeg dishwasher has developed the same fault , tripping the rcd mid cycle. has anyone found the cause of this fault.
    any help greatly appreciated.
    1. it trips about 10 mins after the tablet is released.
    2. i can reset the Rcd and the washer continues to the end of its cycle with no further tripping and no flashing lights either.
    3. happens every time it is used every day.
