I actually never seen knobs that only turning let the gas flows. Is it possible that there’s something broken? Or missed during the installation of the stove? It doesn’t look like a really old cooker and it’s Kenwood, so a good brand. It’s weird the knobs work like that.
I’ll check the flame as soon as I go there again today.
If I remember well, the flame was blue with yellow ends.
I’ll send you pictures if I can.
