    Re: F&P GW 709 01101001 Fault

I cracked it open this morning and found the plug from the motor board to the display board was not seated correctly. pulled it out and reseated it and bingo….. she works….
i should have done that last night instead of troubling you all.

Nah i only fixed it last week. it failed in Jan and i only fixed it last week.
i repaired the board myself…. a few blown resistors and others.

    Ok.
Thanks for the Valve part numbers.

so there is a connector on the solenoid? i did not see it, but mind you i did not look hard.

    the board your talking about.
when i take the front top panel off that contains the push button membrane assembly there is one held in with 1 screw that the solenoid wires go to and it also has the power in (240v), about 5 connectors and the pressude transducer? Is this it. The board is in a grey plastic wedge shapped case that you can unclip to get open.
The GW709 is about 8 years old i think.

    Is that the right one??

    Thank you again.

    Thanks for the reply.
So what parts should i order?
    part numbers please.

is the controller board the board behind the front panel or is it further down near the motor??

Thank you so much for your help.

    Hi again,
Checked it this morning and the Cold Valve is open circuit.
When i check the voltages there is no power at all to either coil.
Machine starts and starts to move the drum, then stops then starts, then stops. at no time on a normal cycle can i get the 24V at the soleniod coils for the Hot or cold water.
Then after some short time 5 mins? it gives the 00110010 error and in diag gives the same error.
    Please Help.
ohh what should the PN be for the Cold Solenoid.
to change them is the easiest way solder it back on the board or splice the wires??
    Thank you all once again.

    Same problem, same codes.
i’ll check the Resistance and Voltage in the morning and let you know the outcome.

    Re: F&P GW709AU

    Hi Guys,
just joined as my machine is not working, same exact fault.
wish i had have stayed in the whitegoods industry today….. but computers pays more.
    Anyhow.
Same fault, wont fill and when emptying the motor pumps and spins for a few secs and stops, then again for a few secs and then stops. the time it runs for is and intermittant time frame.
    Diags shows up as
    00110010

and strangley after 3 mins off it running that fault comes up also.
i’ll check the hot valve in the morning for resistance. so it should be about 60 ohms?

Please help. Wife is not happy about the Laundry mat as her place to be nightly
