I have the same issue as the OP in that the drum is sitting low in my machine enough that it is distorting the door seal.
Having read the earlier posted link about the shock absorbers being the most likely culprit I ordered a pair from e spares, however now they have arrived (next day very efficient) and I see that they have no inner spring and can easily be compressed by hand I’m thinking that they cannot possibly be what keeps the drum up.
So even though they look OK, is it actually a set of new springs I need?
