ParticipantRe: Bosch SMS 6702 GB/09 stopped after wash cycle
After handwashing for a few days, succeeded in clicking programmes back to the beginning and out of curiosity tried a complete wash which was successful!!
However, after apparently working for a few days it has now tripped the fuses, just after the wash cycle was completed, so have switched off and unplugged.
anyone help/advise PLEASE, don’t know what, if anything to try.before having to call-out an engineer.
TIA

Just an update, fitted part recommended by Penguin45 and we now have a fully functioning machine once again.
Many thanks to both Penguin and Greg for taking the time to reply and giving us the benefit of their very considerable expertise.
Thanks lads,
cheers, scotti 😉

Hi, thanks again Greg, we checked the wiring but no signs of burn out etc.
We think the culprit is a capacitor?
Its a 3in tube with a bolt on one end attaching it to the frame, at the other end are 2 spade connectors. It is attached to the frame on the bottom right side of the machine, this seems to be where the sparks were coming from.
We have removed it, definitely has a burning odour to it.
There are several numerical identification marks on it but not quite sure which is relevant, could you kindly help out if at all possible?

Hope you can help
Many thanks again,

Wow, that was quick Greg.
We took the front panel off, apart from a connector block on the left side which needed reseating, there appeared to be nothing else loose, not even any burnt out components/wiring.
Thanks, scotti
