Re: Halogen discontinued……Ceramic swap?

Halogens were all the rage 20 year back so I am guessing mine isnt the only one to fail – according to Belling parts line they have been discontinued a while, so surely others have been in the same boat?
If you can just straight swap a ceramic in its place then its no big deal, but if you cant then there must be loads of electric hobs out there missing one working ring.
I have a had a look round the site but cant find a similar discussion – anyone recall it being discussed before??
