Thanks for the link – very helpful but not a solution in this case.

All the door seals are fine and the only place air can get in is via the drain hole that lets the “self defrosted” water run out.

We are getting a build up of solid ice at the bottom of the fridge behind the veg drawers as well as fine layer of powdered ice on the inside back panel (no elements are visible in the fridge).

There is a little ice in the freezer but nothing drastic and the freezer appears to be working fine.

I was wondering what mechanism controls the cooling in the fridge part as all the elements appear to be in the freezer – is it a mechanically controlled air flow behind the back of the fridge or are there further hidden cooling elements?
