I had the same problem with another diplomat model.
I changed it for a Indesit soap dispenser, changing the electrical fittings and worked.
It is not a difficult job, just remove lower panel (door), remove fitting + 6 screws (mounting plate) and replace it. Even there are some youtube videos explaining it.

Following Indesit troubleshoot, the THERMOSTAT is at fault.
BUT there is no thermostat as spare parts.
Anybody knows if is part of the heater? Controller board?
