The first effort was down to the site offering the PMP244 which as you pointed out was a bogus listing – then when they told me they knew there was another option and they promptly sent the wrong one again, i was almost distraught re the waste of time and still after two weeks no machine! I’m sure they meant well but can only assume they’ve lost our email address……Hmm!

Positive and negative news from Soapybod13. My machine now works good as new……MIRACLE……although goodness knows what the PMP244 pump was intended for!?!?
Owing to the fact that having supplied UKwhitegoods with several pictures from all angles they managed to send me exactly the same pump as originally incorrectly supplied a week earlier – My tother half went into meltdown – 2 weeks of washing hell and no light at the end of the tunnel so it seemed.
I was told by UKWG to return both pumps for a full refund…….No sorry it’s our mistake!!! – I instead sent over another picture that got me a reply last Saturday that it was recognized and stocks would be checked MONDAY.
Now FRIDAY still no word………..USELESS!!!! :rolls:
But needs must as they say – As i’m sure Martin knows only too well my machine has a 40mm sump connection and single outlet no bleed pipe. So i built up the 30mm sump of the 244 with some reinforced radiator piping to 40mm and blanked of the unwanted bleed connection with a bit of 10mm clear pipe blocked off with a bolt at one end and held with a couple of jubilee clips. Voila!
I just hope everything stays in place and that UKWG get to update their listings.
Thanks for your help Martin – two washes and as good as new – seems that she must have been missing the rinse spinning for some time…….as you said – It’s the pump.
PS. The pressure switch was as good as new no sign of any blockages.

As for getting right the pump from ukwhitegoods that is proving to me a nightmare!!!! Two weeks on and 2 virtually identical pumps that bear no resemblance to what was photographed and requested.
Should have gone for a new machine :boops:

Maybe i spoke tooo soon – looks like i’m relying on Dave now as having cobbled together a couple of washes today the leaving to settle for 30 mins trick no longer seems to work.

That would be handy – but while I’m waiting for him to come back to me can someone explain why when the original pump although laboured, pumps out 99.9{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} of the water and yet fails to enact the spin, but if you switch off and leave for half an hour or so and then reselect spin it goes first time.
So how does an electronically isolated pump sat in its own little vacuum (now flooded due to bearing failure) send a message to the system ❓
I ask this question on behalf of many i suspect, as it would seem that so many machines suffer this issue but throw a variety of symptoms before i dare say many unnecessarily end up at the tip!

That’s real handy ukwhitegoods listing the wrong part! – I wonder if they will refund me for the postage and my wasted time – surely it is not tooo much to ask that a spares company should list their replacement parts correctly???
Also i note with regret that your suggestion is thee times the price of their original offering – not your fault obviously.

I checked out for that movement you mentioned and sure enough the impeller was rattling around and it also appears that water has got inside the bearing housing.
So using the ukwhitegoods site i went ahead and ordered the composite pump PMP244 this arrived Friday but with a houseful of kids over the weekend left till this morning so as to fit in peace & quiet. Warning to all – this pump certainly has nothing to do with the WFF2000GB/01 so have had to reassemble including worn out pump.
She not happy!
