The evaporator cover has just two screws at the front by the door and has 2 rounded spigots on either side toward the back. When I undid the two screws at the front and let it drop slightly the evaporator coil dropped as well. It looked like it would swing down but I didn’t want to do it without knowing whether there was some sort of flex on the fridge pipes. I have worked in the past for several years on commercial A/C so I wasn’t looking to create a gas leak.
