Apologies for dredging up such an old thread, but …

I have a Favorit F40660 with the EXACT same symptoms as you had back in 2008 – the machine drains visibly and correctly but keeps issuing the “drain hose not correctly positioned” error code.

Did you manage to get yours sorted out in the end ? If so, can you share what the problem/fix was ?

I’m particulary foxed by HOW the machine decides that it’s not draining. The pump runs freely, there’s no flow sensor in the drain circuit, and the only other sensors I can see are in the stainless steel “sump” – a temperature probe and a pressure switch, the latter to detect when the sump is full. That could be used indirectly to infer failure to drain, but in my case it appears to be working fine (I can get the sensor to change state by blowing gently into the air tube).

If you can share your findings/fix, I’d be very grateful!
