Re: Inactive Indesit WE12 washing machine

    Hi Tom,
I have just been fixing my machine WE12 which was blowing fuses, in tracing the fault I had to trace the wiring.

You wanted to know where the juice goes, from the main switch to the door switch the door switch has three connectors, the single red wire is I believe the activation line to lock the door switch and goes to pin 1 of plug CNF, the brown wire connects to the heater changes colour to black goes to motor and pump then to plug CNE pin 4 this is the main feed to the control board that leads to a transformer on the control board and on to what I think is a triac the transformer output is then rectified and smoothed and feeds the control circuitry as far as I could tell, if the contacts in the door switch are bad or the power to the PCB from the red wire trvelling to CNE pin8 you will have a dead machine. The door switch is the safety feature no power can travel enywhere unless the switch is electrically operated from the control board apart from the red wire that is connected to the brown wire on the door switch which activates the control board.

I am not a washing machine engineer I am an electronics person and just decided to fix my own machine I had no circuit diagram unfortunately and had to trace the wiring I hope that the above helps, to be sure of accuracy you can test with an ohm meter with the power disconnected and the plugs on the board unpluged this should confirm the above and also catch any typing error I may have made.
