unplug the fridge, open the top door and undo the two screws under the top facia panel. Pull the panel off and dig out the PCB. Then look at my post under the name “Stuart” to find the bypass clip.
Its not a brilliant repair as the fridge runs constantly – frost forms on the back panel. It uses something like 1 kw / day.
I’ve also tried Maplin termistors to replace whatever is inside the fridge – that didn’t work. Next is an old mechanical thermostat from an old fridge. Next is to buy a new fridge – freezer.
To repair the fridge properly we’d need to know what is on the other end of the “thermistor” wires.
