ParticipantHi
Thank you for a ll the replies. It is interesting how many brands are owned by one company (same in food industry Unilever, P&G etc.)
I am looking for a slimline free standing dishwasher and I do not mind what brand it is as long it is decent.
Those models that I gave were all 250 when I looked at them and all had display and anti flood system – things that I looked for.
I will have a closer look into that sharpThank you

Participantelectrofix wrote:for my money would go for the Beko not too hard on spares if you need them and a 2 year warranty
R Hobbs would not go near used to be a good British but not any more
candy and hoover are 1 company these days so spares are ok but only 1 year warranty
Amica is polish, spares not too bad but you have to go direct think there is a 2 year gaurentee with these as well
Baumatic went bust and got taken over by candy but the spares are still very silly prices
Bosch are not too bad spares accessibility but can be dearer then some and 2 year guarantee same goes for Neff and Siemens
Hope this helpsDave
Hello Dave
This is great advice it clears things for me; now I need to convince my wife that Beko is the best choice:)
So going further with my question I looked at dishwashers (£250-300)
Amica ZWM428W
Whirlpool ADP 301 WH
Indesit DSFC3M19UK
SHARP QW-S22F472W (I always thought they made only TVs)
So the best choice would be whirpool due to the spares availability ?Also for hoods I saw some nice ones but from companies that did not hear about before:
KKT Kolbe
Luxair hoods
I am assuming if something goes wrong I am left with just direct contact for the spares and technical assistance?Thank you again
