Thanks, this is good advice. I wasn’t aware Bosch had this care plan. I’ve now gone for this – it’s great to have a fixed price and a reasonable price at that. I’ll update here later once it’s fixed in case it helps someone else.

For other people who are reading this: The current price is £14 per month for 12 months – £168. If the appliance is beyond repair you pay nothing and the plan is cancelled. Once repaired it’s warrantied against any faults for 12 months. A very nice service deal.
