As a footnote why don’t manufacturers tell you how to get into program mode and service mode (PO or S) As these are quite useful when the unit doesn’t work and doesn’t have an error code on the display. Mine was initially showing the tap light lit no error code, as soon as i went into program mode for last known fault (P1) E14 was displayed. Would make diagnostics a damn site easier.

Nice reply Dave. I tried another 29 min cycle and 5v to reed switch as soon as program starts, whilst unit get rid of excess waste water. As soon as solenoid opens to allow water into the unit, there is 0v at reed switch so seems like a programmer fault. Seems like the sequence is all out of kilter.
My technical opinion; it’s knackered, oh well had 10 pretty hard years labour so not bad. Apart from this never had an issue with it.

Thank for the advise Dave much appreciated, oh yeah and the humour 🙂

    cheers

Hi Dave thanks for reply. The plot thickens…..
Reset unit again now all lights are on and lots of strange things are happening. It started by the display showing E18 then started cycle weird spray bar noises going really fast then stopped. Display then changed to E08 more weird washing sounds i have never heard in the 10 years i have owned this unit. then H on display followed by E15 with daily program light flashing really fast and rapid button light flashing slow and tap light flashing fast. The sounds from inside were getting worse. Then display showed either a 5: or S: with 17.then 18, 23 and so on after it and lots more number changing quite quickly. I pressed stop/start button but nothing happened and before i could pull the plug loud sound of rushing water and yep, water all over the floor. I think it is kaput. I have been having problems with it for about 10 days. Wife is now fed up with no dishwasher so bit the bullet and purchased a Whirlpool WFC3C24PXUK, hope that was the right choice, anyway to late now arrives Friday.
Thanks anyway for the reply Dave appreciate the help.
