An update just in case anybody else has a similar problem : I purchased a new WI from this site which cured all my problems, and the machine has worked fine ever since. 😀

ok, the water tray was absolutetly full of water. I mopped it all up and started the cycle again. The leak is clearly coming from the water indicator thing that I took out and cleaned earlier (the black thing with the grill). I took it out again to see if I had punctured the membrane, but all looks well (I did have to scrape out the clogged up gunge though, so maybe I did puncture it and just can’t see it?). I’m pretty sure I put it back correctly as well, and I think it had been leaking before I took it out to clean, as the tray had water in it before I cleaned it first time.

Do I need a new water indicator? If so, can I get one through this site..?

    Thanks for your assistance.

Thanks for that – I gave it a good clean – I even took it out (what fun that was), as I couldn’t really get to it to give it a good clean. I also cleared out the tray at the bottom as this had quite a lot of water in it.

It starts the cycle, but then there is a constant clicking noise (sounds like a relay or something) coming from the start button area. This went on for ages until I got fed up with it and reset the progam and started again. The clicking noise was then replaced by our old friend the bleeping noise (with the accompanying four flashes).

    Thanks for the quick response.

The light flashes four times, goes out, and then flashes four times again (over and over again). This is in addition to the bleeping.

It did it about 2 mins into the wash cycle this time.
