    Thank you so much for the lying-it-on-its-side advice. Guess what? I just tried it–lots of water came out and now dishwasher is working again. I’ll revert to normal tablets and keep rinse aid to a minimum. Thanks for all your advice! Still think it’s probably a duff dishwasher! Jennie 😀

    I have been using 3 in 1 tablets and rinse aid so that might be the problem. Will also try the lying it on its side trick–although there doesn’t appear to be any water in the machine. I’ll let you know what engineer suggests. 😆

    Thanks so much for your replies. Dishwasher still not working–engineer coming on Monday. I thought the deal was too good to be true at the time! 🙂
