We do hear a clicking when we turn the drum and there has been a noise when drying – as if there is something hard in the drum.
Use of the dryer varies but can be many times a week in winter.

Level of skill = absolutely zero!!
Does that fit with the fact that the timer was showing the start time at the end of the wash, and the occasional lack of beeps when the cycle had finished?
and does it sound like an expensive repair? If you can tell that from my description? Wondering whether to call someone to take a look or just replace it.
