Re: Siemens SE26T251GB/04 – Not filling
Hi Dave
Success! I removed the pressure chamber as you suggested and gave it a good clean out (there wasn’t a great deal of muck, but I removed what there wa)s. While I was there I noticed the hose I’d uncoupled from the pressure chamber to the ?sump, was also pretty mucky, so I removed and cleaned this. This really was filthy and I suspect was a major contributor to the blockage. In any case I reassembled everything and hey presto! it works – I hesitate to say it – perfectly, and has had a good clean into the bargain.
Two points:
1. the heat exchanger tank has quite a bit of gunk up in the top left hand corner which I was unable to get at. Do you know any way of flushing this out effectively?
2. should I say anything to the service engineer – not as a rebuke but to keep him informed?
Many thanks for your help. Between us we’ve avoided junking a very servicable piece of kit.
best
Charlie
