Re: Bosch WFF1201 Washing Machine Drum Bearing

Thanks to all those who came forward with very helpful suggestions. I have now received the bearings and repaired the machine (overall about 2hrs) and it is spinning like a Rolls! I did use a solid oak block on the spindle before clouting it with a hammer & it came off without a hitch. The bearings also came out without too much difficulty. The worst problem was getting the third bolt into the three legged bearing cross – in the end I had to use a sash clamp, stretching from the front weight to the bearing cross to align the hole – success in the end! I know where to come for future assistance, when required. Thanks again.

Thanks for that – will a sledgehammer do? Only joking!

Thanks for coming back so promptly. This sounds fairly straightforward & a relief not having to take out the drum. How long should it take, do you think? Any improvements on the £68 for the bearings, if so, where can I find them please? Thanks again.
