Re: Indesit WE16 fault
Cheers Dave,
between me posting the enquiry and your reply, I had contacted Indesit and they were going to send out a Senior Service Engineer, as the previous engineer was unable to fix the problem. However he was coming on Tuesday 11 Jan!. My wife was not impressed with this, so we contacted a local engineer, who said it sounded like a pressure problem, and came out within the hour.
He looked at the pressure switch and found that the air trap had come loose (or had been removed) from it location on the drum. On closer inspection the pressure pipe was found to have a split in. This was replaced and (touch wood) the machine has been working correctly ever since!
Still waiting for the indesit engineer to come out so that I can explain the problem and solution to him.
