Thank you for your reply.

You are quite right, in that some of the wires did become disconected when I attempted to clean the contacts. Hence my request for connection details.

Prior to that the machine had been erratic, occasionally running smoothly through all its programs and sometimes stopping at random at different points in the cycle.

The machine has always given excellent results, despite latterly having to move the timer on a click manually. So I feel a replacment timer,(if correctly wired up ❗ ), would be worthwhile.

Once again I would appreciate your advice.
