Left the FF off for 12 hours and then plugged it back in.
After a couple of hours realised it was very hot. The freezer unit was pumping out heat like an electric fire. Presumably the defrost was stuck in the on mode.
Switched it all of and waiting for assistance. – & looking around for a new FF.

Now managed to establish that the freezer fan is running. I put a white Snowpake dot on one of the blades. After about an hour it was clear that the blades have been spinning.
Read in one of the other topics that these fans don’t run until the temperature has lowered enough so that only cold air can get circulated. Thanks for that, folks, I can see the sense in that.

Now I’m back where I started but I haven’t spent 75 quid on a fan!

    What shall I do next?
