Re: Whirlpool American Fridge Freezer broken down – help!
I have all the problems previously experienced by others on this forum. Plus one additional problem-the compressor is permenently operating-even when I switch the unit onto standby. The only way I have been able to properly defrost the freezer is by disconnecting from the mains. I have therefore concluded that I must do something. Like everyone else I would like to avoid the cost of replacing both boards. So two questions: 1. Is the compressor problem going to be fixed if I replace the two control boards? 2. Should I try replacing the capacitors first? My model number is: S25B RSB 31. The two numbers on the rating plate are: 8586 166 15010, 11 0309 016520.
