ParticipantRe: Bosch dishwasher went Bang/Pop
Just a note to advise that the suppressor arrived from UKWG yesterday. Cleaned up the backplate, plugged the new suppressor in and then plugged in and turned on the dishwasher. Touch wood, there have been no bangs since and we are delighted to have a tidy kitchen again.
Many thanks to the forum for the advice. It is much appreciated – less that £20 to have a working dishwasher rather than an expensive repair bill or a new dishwasher.
Cheers

Many thanks for the answer.
This looks like the part even though our model number isn’t listed

Do these parts blow for a reason? Does the fact that it has blown mean that there is probably a short somewhere?

ParticipantRe: Bosch SGS4302 – not heating up and stuck on 1 minute
Good evening.
I have a Classixx dishwasher – machine number SGS55C02GB/01. It’s just under six years old.
My machine has always had a ‘long cycle’. The eco cycle (55 degrees) takes about 150 – 180 minutes. The 60 degree cycle about 130 minutes and the 70 degree cycle about 120 minutes. There’s also a rinse and a quick cycle.
Anyhow, since the machine was about two years old it has occasionally simply stuck on the 1 minute code. The thing that is confusing is that this is only an occasional thing – sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t.
More recently, it’s had times when it will work perfectly for about 5 or six washes – then it won’t work for 5 or six washes.
Anyhow, based on what I’ve read on this thread, I today tried to take the PCB out to have a look. Wasn’t fully able to take the board out but was able to unplug all the connectors and plug them back in. Can’t see any damage anywhere. Put the machine back on though and it is currently heating. I also (yesterday) stuck some soda crystals in and ran the machine on a short cycle (did this twice).
Now I’m unsure whether the flushing with soda crystals has done the job and unplugging and replugging the pcb is just luck. I flushed the machine about two weeks back with soda crystals when it wasn’t heating – it started working about three cycles later.
So, I’m confused as to whether the issue is fat build up on something or whether the pcb is simply dodgy.
At the moment I’m just pleased that at this precise moment, the machine is working. I feel though that in a cycle or two from now, it will be back to its old tricks.
Thanks for reading
