Re: Bosch WFL 2260 Maxx door not opening

Are you sure that’s what the issue was?

Any idea how much they are approx? And easy to install?

Yes, my brother opened it by hitting the machine and it went onto the ‘end’ light and apparently it opened

    Thanks Penguin45,

Apparently what happened is when my brother hit it the machine did the ‘end’ cycle (light went onto it etc) which it hadn’t been doing and then it opened

Is that what you meant about shocking the lock?
This is interesting stuff as I hadn’t thought of doing that lol, I did the sensible manual approach lol

Re: Bosch WFL 2260 Maxx door not opening

I can’t be certain but I’ve run the drain cycle a few times, unplugged, emptied out the pump water at the bottom right of the machine as well as pulled the waste pipe to see if anything’s coming out of that and it isn’t.
I did unplug it and waited several minutes (they mention 2minutes waiting for the safety function) but it didn’t open.

I’ve heard that my brother has banged it a few times and they did a cycle and this time it reached ‘end’ so she’s managed to get the clothes out. I’ve told her to run an empty cycle with no clothes next to see what the state of it is.

If anyone’s got any thoughts on opening it it’d be useful to know anyway

    Thanks Penguin45

    Re: Tasting of soap

Great, thank you. Do you think that could be causing the soapy taste?

I haven’t filled the rinse aid/salt for a while though I think the rinse aid reservoir indicates it still has some left.

You’re not meant to use rinse aid/salt with the 3 in 1s either, yes? I heard that some people still did though wasn’t sure.

    Re: Tasting of soap

I think the lemon ones were 4 in 1, and yes have kept the rinse aid in

Tonight i’ll use the Tesco original ones which are also 4 in 1, and still have rinse aid in machine.

I think it has always been ok with the original ones so we shall see.

Thank you, and please feel free to continue to contribute

    Re: Tasting of soap

Water is medium to hard I’m guessing though not sure. I’ve put salt in and rinse aid in.

Yes, I changed the tablets, currently on 2nd type (used Tesco lemon type, and currently on Finish. If I remember I think it was ok with Tesco normal/original – I will try those again)

I’ll check the filter. The thing i remember is a little while ago I was putting pasta sauce bottles in there (incl labelling) to pass clean bottles onto someone else to use. I’m thinking maybe the labelling could have removed and gone somewhere in the machine? I will check.

Re: Heating up – not sure as I am normally in another room. I will check.

Thanks for your responses, and do feel free to continue to contribute as I welcome receiving any further opinions.

    Best wishes.
