    Well thanks for your help guys, without wishing to be dismissive it seems it was a waste of time signing up to this forum. Anyone can say ‘test thouroughly’ but there is no point in a forum if that is all that is said. I was hoping for some more constructive suggestions.

    Thanks for replies. I was under the assumption it is a resonably simple system and there would not be many things affecting whether the fan motor comes on or not? How many different things can stop it coming on?
