Hi All,
Just a bit of feedback – changing the thermistor fixed my problem!
for those wondering where its located – as viewed from the back of the fridgefreezer its close to the top left hand corner under all the foam,
hope this helps!

thats nice of them considering its so badly stuck down the foam is, its almost a consumable!,
anyone know anything equivilent I can use?
I saw the prices of the condenser – and I’m not going to pay £60 for the sake of 6″ of foam!UkSkin

well I dont really have any choice, got made redundant as a drect result of the smoking ban so altho I’d love a huge american fridge freezer – reality is I’m gonna struggle to buy a thermistor to fix my not so trusty old candy, hum I mean hoover 😉
wish me luck as it sounds like I’m going to need it – and if you hear on the news someone died in birmingham from a bizzare fillerfoam accident you’ll know whats happened :-))
serviced my condenser dryer last week and wow do they create/store crud, took me an hour a stiff brush and a vacum cleaner to get all the lint out of the nooks and crannys of that, considering how much gunk was stuck to the pump and was in the sump I’m amazed it worked at all!
Thanks for all the advice – its really appreciated!
Take care

thanks for that 🙂 – no problems working with thermistors – a bit more concerned how much of the fridge needs dismantling and just how much foam needs digging out – if its going to involve removing the rear coils etc
Basically asking 2 things – where is the thermistor and do I need to get the metal case off 🙂
it’d be handy to know what connector it is on the control board – but realise from other posts that this is a hard one to find out
Cheers

Hi!
Is there any pre-testing I can do or is it just a case of going for it?
understand it’ll need re-foaming in – and I’m happy working with filler foam (and have nailvarnish remover handy to get it off my hands/floor/cat/walls etc), but interested to know what else is involved if you can give me some idea?
Thanks for the link too – good to know where to get the part from!
Cheers

Hi all,
Sorry about the delay in replying!
The model number I gave was the one from a sticker on the back – but as its hand written in biro I have a feeling its not the “real” one, I’ve had a good look for a sticker inside (its usually next to the salad draw?) and cant find one – but there is some signs of one being removed,
think it was re-sold as a 2nd threw a store in birmingham and they sometimes remove origonal ID’s
at the very bottom on the back theres a virtical sticker / barcode – maybe the serial number – 3400055606406762 if that decodes to something?
Thanks in advance,
Mark

Hi K
Dyslexia strikes again!
HNM 2605 AA
Serial Number 933234
off the top off my head (without taking the door off) the connector with blue/white 4 way connector is on the left as viewed from the LED side, the black/blue are together in the middle – but there physically 2 seperate spade connectors,
on the right seems to be the output to the light via a push to break activated by the door
Thanks again
Mark
