ParticipantRe: dishwasher – white deposits
Jim – I’ve posted a photo of the plate at :
http://myweb.tiscali.co.uk/barfblog/gra … G_3121.JPG
Looks like the E-Nr number is SGS5312GB/12. Hope this is
useful to your resident Bosch experts Gegsy, Boro & BSH man .Martin – thanks for your input, all help is welcome.
Listening to the machine I can hear the water being
sprayed from the rotating arms.
Also, my understanding of the regeneration process is that it
introduces salt to the system to soften the water, if it wasn’t
working then salt would NOT be introduced to the system so the deposits
would not taste salty, does that make sense ? I did
try tasting the white deposits and it was pretty tasteless,
not soapy or salty. I believe lime can be left if the softener
is not working, not sure if lime has a taste.uoapsdb

Jim – yes I was wondering about the regeneration thing, it did start suddenly but I noticed also we were very low on salt when it started, I have filled up with salt but still no change after a number of washes.
Do you know if there are specific parts to do with the regeneration that could have failed and need replacing or are clogged up say ? I believe some machines have a button to reset the regeneration but there isn’t one on ours.
Would I be able to replace a part that is resonsible for the regeneration ? I put the model no. in the first post.
Thanks Steve
