ok, would you advise me in which area of the machine that can I find a fuse/cutout?(if it exists)
I am convinced that no power is coming to the motor harness.

Dear Jim,
THanks for the reply that I was awaiting.I have commented on what you have mentioned in the last reply…
” I would have to say that if the armature was that badly worn that it was ‘rattling’ then it was already in a very poor condition and turning it down would be very unlikely to be a sound repair.”— well it was not that bad when I visually inspected the “hump” in the armature brush plates. When it was phased the blades were at the same plane and it looked pretty ok. In fact it did turn very well when the power was given without rattle. It did not blow off or gave any other complication whilst it was runing. I am the one who switched off the machine. The problem was seen only after switching off the machine and restarting—
“The brushes would also have suffered damage. “— The brushes’ physical appearence is ok. Is it still possible that they are damaged?.–
“There is a possibility that the overload or TOC that is situated in the motor end cap has blown.”— If so will it be possible to see it externally?–
“however I fear you need a new motor at the very least and you may possibly have damaged the PCB when you ran it up to speed without the belt on.”
— Jim, I cannot see any external damage of the PCB. Isnt the machine is made to run at its maximum RPM? If the PCB is getting damaged which IC in the PCB is more likely to get damaged? —
My other questions are:
1. Should there be power coming to the harness end that is getting connected to the motor if the problem is solely on motor ( without the damage to the PCB) ?2. As I feel that there is a main problem of power not coming to the motor and the programme selector, could it be possible that a fuse ( or a reset button) is blown off in the machine? I looked for such a gadget but I cannot find a fuse or a trip switch inside the machine. Do you know such a thing is inside?
Thanks jim.

Dear Iadom,
Many thanks for the reply.
Yes I am from Sri Lanka but your adivse could be so helpful. I bought this machine in NZ and when I came back I brouight it with me. Thats how I got it.The fault of the motor was the uneven surface of the armeture plates that touches the two brushes. He very carefully phased the armeture so that the the brushes did not make any rattling sound. It worked well when I fixed it to the body of t he machine but after switching off it ( to put the belt on to its axle) and againg switching it on nothing came out. Only the LED lit up but no turning of the drum( or motr)or the programme selector switch motor which could be heard making a small noise when the power is on. I am worried whether an IC in the PCB has blown off? I did not do any manouvre other than attching the motor to the drum after it was repaired hence anybody would be surprised to think a problem in the PCB.
The ENr no is WVF2000GB/30
FD no: 7804 00729please try your level best to help me.
regards.
