I have solved it thanks, I removed about ten screws to remove the front door panel and reveal the wiring behind the switches. There was a brown wire which had been cut for some reason and wasn’t protected, I guess while moving the dishwasher the wire has moved and was touching something and shorting out. It is now working ok.

Thanks for the quick reply. There is no guarantee with it, but I am assured it was fully working beforehand, but I only have the guys word for that.
Where is the front panel? I see there is a plastic cover on the part beneath the front door but I can’t see how to remove it? I checked where the cable enters the machine but that is all like new and all the connections are dry and clean.
I’m at a loss what to check next, I don’t really want to throw any more money at it.
