ParticipantRe: Where to find a Bosch WFR 3269
Maybe a Bosch WFR2869 with the slower spin would be better. The 1400 spin machine I used yesterday is bashing the living daylights out of clothes. Is that normal for a 1400 spin? I am used to a 1200 spin.

ParticipantRe: Bosch washing machine. WFR 2860 confused about models.
There are 2 faults with it. The latest is “pump Blocked” in the display and the pump does not stop even when the water is gone.
The second is a longstanding problem where the machine is unable to end the fluffing up cycle and has to be stopped with the red ring pull emergency stop every time.
The two may be connected with a fault in the control system because it has been getting harder to trick the machine programming into restarting a new programme.
I think the repair money may be best put towards a newer model, but it seems I cannot have a brand new Bosch with a child lock that stops mid cycle programme changes.
So that’s why I’d like to know how a model can have one reference number WFR 2860, but seems to exist in different versions.
Or is there a better, fast, child proof Bosch out there.
Thanksvenn

Whoops. That is what happens with 2 year old twins, plus a muddy boy and no washing machine ! Will try again.

The enr no is
WFR2460FF 01FD8104 700327The messages read as they should throughout the wash rinse and spin cycles, but it never gets as far as the fluffing up clothes message as the fault occurs before this. It then reads child lock activated alternating with nothing as the child lock clicks on and off.
The child lock is not activated by a person turning the dial at this point, and the same fault occurs if the child lock is set at on or off at the start of the programme.
Interestingly I have just tried a drainage only programme which starts AFTER the point where the problem normally occurs and this did not get stuck in an endless cycle.

Would the engineer need any special equipment for this so I could request he turns up with what he needs the first time around.

ParticipantRe: Bosch washingmachine. I have confused the electronic pro
I have done everything in the user manual to deactivate the child lock which can be still be switched on and off on any programme but as soon as the point is reached where I used the emergency unlock the child lock reactivates and the machine gets stuck in a cycle of gentle rotating and continues doing this for hours if I forget to manually release using the emergency unlock.
Bosch helpline said the whole electronic programming probably needs replacing which is very expensive and I should consider a new machine instead.
I just seem to have confused the electronics at this point by using the emergency unlock while a programme was active instead of turning the programme off first. -
