Ariston Fidge Freezer 2

I have a large Ariston fridge freezer that has been kept in a modern, dry garage unused for a couple of years. It is immaculate with the exception that it no longer cools or freezes! 🙂

Upon switching on, the fridge freezer appears to hum in the traditional way but 24 hours later neither the fridge nor freezer is cold.
Rust has been suggested but the back of the unit is sealed so not easy to check. Although rust may possible, I am a little dubious. Could it be anything else?

Not sure whether I should scrap (seems a shame), is it something I could have a bash at or is repair likely to be economic?
