Not quite the banging and screwing we had in mind for a Thursday evening, but the Mrs and I ended up getting to know our Washer Dryer a little more than we perhaps wanted to (thanks to your help/advice)!

Admittedly, it took us a while. Some time was spent plucking up the courage, some time trying to organise the screws, way too much time unclogging the damn thing and a lot of time spent worrying if we would ever get it back together.

We did manage to get it back together. Although the short 15 minute cycle she put it on afterwards revealed a leak – uh oh!

So we drained it down, and I could see we had accidentally detached the pipe from the detergent drawer, which connects to the dryer exhaust.

So undid it all again (this time in 10 minutes) and reconnected the pipe.

We’ll give it another spin tomorrow.

Are there any technical diagrams of these units? I’m just keen to know if there’s another pipe further down that we may have dislodged. (Hopefully not).

Thanks again Martin, when you say red button TOC, is that this part “The reset stat (00619335)” you mentioned previously?

Why is it such a fiddle job? So you pay the engineer £100 each time?

    Me again… 🙂

So, this has happened about 5/6 times now since the initial post. Each time, results in me lugging out the integrated appliance, undoing the top and resetting the “thing”.

We seem to have narrowed it down to Intensive Dry Cycle and/or the Wash & Dry cycle (which she seems to think uses Intensive Dry).

Any ideas why this specific cycle is causing a trip?

I’m toying with drilling a hole in the top of the washer and modifying the trip button so I can “easily” reset it. Seems a retarded solution though, but then, that’s me 😉

Back in the wardrobe? Sounds like you got a good one! Mine ends up in a pile that then needs to be ironed – which I’m actually pretty good at :)!

Anyway, just replying to thank you. Returned from holiday, unplugged the w/d and pulled the unit clear, took the top off and found the ‘trip switch’ had popped. At least I presume it’s a trip switch, and had popped – it felt popped when I pushed it.

Either way, when trying to dry it now works, so I assumed whatever I fondled, fixed it 🙂

There’s one thing I can guarantee, and that is that it was not me that did terminate a cycle, IF that is what has happened 🙂

I’m not a user of such an appliance 🙂

    Thanks Martin, appreciate it!

Should I find it’s not this pesky/hard to reach reset button, what other parts could I be looking to poke?

    Heating filament? What – £150?
    Thermostat? £50?

(Please note, I’m in IT, not Appliances so these could be well off…)

Will spend all holiday looking forward to this prospect upon our return. How wonderful.

Do they still publish/are there any Service Manuals available? I suspect material like this wasn’t freely available, but anything for the WKD28350 (or similar) would at least let me ‘plan ahead’.

Any tips for getting a washer out without ruining the floor? Always seems to be a nightmare!!

Thanks, will have a look – saw similar on Youtube, but figured it would be sods law my W/D didn’t have this.

Such a pain with it being integrated, that we’ll have to pull it out to get at it 🙁

Any ideas, would I go from the top, or from behind as it were – ooo errr…. I’m talking in terms of removing the panel for access.

Also, FWIW, we did a 90 degree wash earlier and it got warm, so I suppose that means the heating element is ok? My lack of knowledge and inability to google, suggests that the heating element may not even be involved in the drying aspect though!
