    There is another way – and I hereby claim my royalties if you make it a commercial success 😉 ;
    – High vacuum.
    Seal the tumble drum (you still need to tumble to avoid creasing) and pump out the air. As ambient pressure drops, any water in the drum will evaporate and be extracted by the vacuum pump.

    My creda had all the above symptoms, but before I got around to fixing those pulleys, the drive belt broke.
    I have the part numbers, the Dryer is a 37742, and the belt is WG305880 from CPC. Question though..
    When I fit the new belt, it’s going to have to get around the drum somehow. The front (door) side looks pretty inaccessible, it’s an air-tight sliding seal to the vent filter at the front of the machine. At the rear is a kind of earthed bearing. Any pointers on the correct (and easy) approach to getting the belt on?
