ParticipantRe: Miele – Stupid question about install
And herein lies a very small gripe – this plastic cover does indeed prevent curious fingers from touching the door glass which can get rather hot during the drying cycle.
However, the ventillation holes at the top and bottom allow dust to get in and there’s no way to easily clean it off. The outside glass is starting to look somewhat grotty and that could be a let-down in the looks of the machine.
Does anyone know a way to take off this plastic cover to clean the glass behind it? I must say that my previous Bendix washer-dryer didn’t have this problem as the plastic front was sealed.

ParticipantRe: Miele honeycomb drum: does it damage cotton clothes?
As suggested by the others, please inspect the drum and try to ascertain if the damage was caused by your washing those joggers (trainers) or a manufacturing fault.
I have a WT2670 myself and cannot find fault with the machine except for the price.
Also, if you find the wash action too vigorous for your cottons, you can activate “Gentle Action” found in the Settings menu. In the words of Miele, “Activating gentle action reduces the drum action and is suitable for washing slightly soiled items more gently. It should be activated for garments with a single bar under the care label and for articles which feel too hard after they have been dried.”
