It now looks like the compresser has an intermittant fault. It has the picture of the indians head on it which means it is prone to failure when inside this model fridge, someone elses post tells me! it is working at this moment but it is it’s last chance!

Hi, This is a bit late for you but may help someone else. We had the advice to do an overnight defrost on this problem. We put the food in cool bags and after four hours it seemed all thawed so we turned it on again.
When we put in the new damper (£50) the old one was packed full of ice so if we had done a proper overnight thaw we may have saved some trouble. Nothing seemed wrong with the old one when removed, but the problem didn’t occur again when the new one was fitted! Of course being this model it just waited four weeks and developed a fresh problem.
