Thankyou kindly bigsmokepiker for your time. The situation is as follows.
    Cold water hose only connected.
Cold water will not flow into machine AT ALL No blockages anywhere including pump.
Fill with water manually with clothes in. Doesn’t fully agitate. Can’t seem to get a rhythm going. (before stopping and going into beeping mode)?
Spin setting – water empties in regular short bursts and then stops and goes into beeping mode.
Beeping can only be stopped by switching off at power point. Could all this be related to the faulty hot inlet valve ? Thanks in advance.

Thankyou for your reply. To be more precise, we have only used cold water washes with no hose or cap on the hot water valve for a long time.
Could bad practice with this have caught up with us ? Also machine will not pump out water continuously (only in short bursts) and will not begin the spin cycle at all ! Any further thoughts greatly appreciated. 😮
